Hello! My name is Vikash, a self-taught baker, green lover and a designer by education.
The Yellow Pumpkin is a fusion of all my passions merged into one. It’s a space for me to celebrate, explore and share my journey with you. It all began when I was just a kid, my oldest memories are of huddling next to my mother in our tiny kitchen while the other kids played outdoors.
I was hooked. I began experimenting, trying new recipes, baking with ill-equipped tools, calling friends and neighbours for impromptu tasting sessions. Then came my terrace garden full of herbs and vegetables which meant easy access to fresh ingredients for my recipes.
To everyone’s surprise, I pursued a degree in design and spent 8 years designing for leading retail brands. When my job situation changed, I chose to begin a new chapter instead of another “real” job.
We help bring the joy of gardening to everyone. If you wish you had a garden but live in an apartment, we deliver green friends already potted and ready to thrive — from ornamental to air purifying plants and cute succulents in trendy pots.
We are passionate home bakers who love an honest approach to baking. Our recipes range from cakes to cookies inspired by seasons, spontaneous experiments and comforting classics made with carefully picked fresh ingredients.
